The Rainforest S Concert acoustic-electric bass guitar is part of Breedlove's ECO Collection designed to be environmentally friendly and maximize acoustic bass sound. The Breedlove Rainforest Concert features a mahogany body for a warm, immediate sound with a strong midrange emphasis and a ringing sustain. The popular concert body shape, favored by players for being well-balanced, compact and comfortable to play while offering all the qualities of a great-sounding bass, generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always present.
The Rainforest S Concert acoustic-electric bass also features Breedlove’s Cascade Bracing, which brings Custom Shop quality sound to every Breedlove guitar. Drawing inspiration from the volcanic peaks of the Cascade Mountains, the Breedlove luthiers scalloped lightweight, sturdy braces that rise and fall much like the vista. Because each of Breedlove’s distinctive guitar body shapes produces slightly different tones and frequencies, Breedlove tailored specialized bracing patterns to maximize the sound quality for each style of guitar shape. The Rainforest S Concert acoustic-electric is also crafted with the individually harvested and FSC-certified African mahogany (Khaya) from the Republic of Congo. Additionally, a thin top and finish reduces weight for more sound and sustained overtones
