The Ashdown UK-PM-80H Peacemaker is a hand-built, all-valve 80-watt guitar amp head from Ashdown's UK Peacemaker series. Designed for serious stage and studio players, the PM-80H delivers classic British valve tone, strong headroom, expressive dynamics, and modern control in a premium boutique amp head format.
Built by hand in England, the PM-80H represents the high-powered head in Ashdown's Classic Custom Shop Studio Peacemaker lineup. Its 80-watt all-valve design is powered by 4 x EL84 output valves, delivering shimmering cleans, natural compression, harmonic richness, and commanding projection for live performance.
The PM-80H features two channels for clean and drive tones, giving players a wide range of sounds from clear, articulate cleans to edge-of-breakup crunch and full-bodied overdrive. The control layout keeps things direct and musical, with Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master, and Boost controls for fast tone shaping.
The built-in Boost function can be engaged from the front panel or via an optional FS-2 footswitch, making it useful for solos, lead emphasis, or extra drive. Dark and Light voicing modes expand the amp's tonal range, while the rear-panel channel-link switch blends both channels for additional texture. Speaker outputs support 8 and 16 ohm cabinets, and the built-in load allows silent operation for recording or practice without requiring an external load box.
