B-Stock & Certified Open Box — Warranty & Quality Control at ECG Music
At ECG Music, every instrument is inspected, tested, and accurately represented before it is offered for sale. This page explains how we classify B-Stock and Certified Open Box products and what support applies after purchase.
What Is B-Stock?
B-Stock, sometimes described as a Special Buy, refers to fully functional instruments purchased directly from an authorized manufacturer or distributor at special pricing.
These products may have minor cosmetic imperfections, packaging wear, or another condition disclosed in the individual product listing. In some cases, there may be no noticeable cosmetic issue.
A manufacturer warranty may be limited or unavailable on certain B-Stock products. The applicable warranty and support terms will be stated in the product listing whenever possible.
Every B-Stock instrument is inspected, tested, and play-checked by ECG Music before shipment.
ECG Music B-Stock Support
B-Stock instruments include:
- 30-Day Limited Defect Support from the date of confirmed delivery
- Inspection and functional testing before shipment
- Disclosure of known cosmetic blemishes or condition issues
- Repair, replacement coordination, or another reasonable resolution for verified covered defects, at ECG Music's discretion
This support applies to verified functional defects affecting electronics, structural integrity, or normal operation. It is not a general return or trial-period policy.
The buyer may be responsible for insured return shipping on an approved claim unless the item arrived damaged, materially different from its listing, or applicable law requires otherwise.
What Is Certified Open Box?
Certified Open Box products may include dealer demonstrations, showroom displays, photography samples, studio evaluation units, or products that can no longer be represented as factory sealed.
Each product is inspected, tested, cleaned when appropriate, and verified to meet ECG Music's functional standards before it is offered for sale.
Any known cosmetic condition, handling marks, packaging condition, or missing nonessential materials will be disclosed in the individual listing.
Certified Open Box Support
The warranty or support included with a Certified Open Box product may vary by item.
The individual product listing will indicate whether the product includes:
- The original manufacturer warranty
- ECG Music Limited Defect Support
- Optional extended protection
- Any item-specific exclusions or limitations
Optional Extended Protection
Eligible products may qualify for optional extended warranty protection. Ask us before purchase about current availability, coverage, exclusions, and claim procedures for the specific item you're considering.
Extended protection, when available, is separate from ECG Music's Limited Defect Support and any applicable manufacturer warranty.
