The Frequensator tailpiece has it's roots in Epiphone® guitars of the 1940s. It was introduced as a distinctive feature on many of the brand’s high-end archtops. Designed to improve string tension and tonal balance, it quickly became a hallmark of the golden era of craftsmanship. Its elegant, split-length design not only offered a unique visual flair but also helped shape the warm, resonant sound that made these guitars a favorite among jazz greats of the time.
