Built with an all-mahogany body and Kala's short-scale U•BASS design, the Nomad is an approachable choice for bassists, guitarists, and ukulele players looking for a portable instrument with a surprisingly full low end.

The mahogany top, back, and sides contribute a warm, earthy character, while Kala round wound strings provide clear note definition and a familiar response for traditional bass players. Its compact 20.8125-inch scale makes stretches comfortable while retaining the deep response that makes the U•BASS distinctive.

For amplified playing, the Nomad features Kala's U•BASS Active EQ with built-in tuner, making it equally comfortable at home, in rehearsal, in the studio, or on stage.

A padded Kala U•BASS gig bag is included.
