The Breedlove Roots Concert SMYe pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with Oregon myrtlewood back and sides in Breedlove’s comfortable non-cutaway Concert body.

Finished in Tumalo Honey Burst, the SMYe combines the clarity, projection, and dynamic range of Sitka spruce with the rich overtones, balanced response, and distinctive visual character of Oregon myrtlewood.

An Eastern hard rock maple neck with Breedlove’s Soft C profile, African ebony fingerboard, 25.5-inch scale, and 1.75-inch nut width provide a comfortable and responsive playing platform for fingerstyle, flatpicking, and rhythm work.

The SMYe uses a classic solid Sitka spruce top paired with Oregon myrtlewood back and sides.

Sitka spruce provides strong projection, clarity, and headroom while responding well across a wide range of playing dynamics. Oregon myrtlewood adds harmonic richness, balanced lows, and a lively response that gives the guitar its own distinct tonal character.

For players who want the look and character of Oregon myrtlewood but prefer the familiar attack and openness of a spruce-topped acoustic, the SMYe offers an appealing combination.

Non-Cutaway Concert Body

Breedlove’s Concert body is designed for comfort, balance, and versatility.

The non-cutaway design preserves the traditional full-body profile while providing a responsive acoustic voice suited to fingerstyle, flatpicking, accompaniment, and expressive rhythm playing.

Soft C Neck & Comfortable Playability

The Eastern hard rock maple neck features Breedlove’s Soft C profile for a comfortable and natural playing feel.

A 25.5-inch scale length and 1.75-inch nut width provide familiar acoustic-guitar tension and comfortable string spacing, while the African ebony fingerboard offers a smooth playing surface with a premium feel.

Sound Optimized X Bracing
