The Breedlove Roots Parlor CMYe pairs a solid Western red cedar top with Oregon myrtlewood back and sides in a compact 12-fret Parlor design finished in Tumalo Honey Burst.

The cedar top brings warmth, responsiveness, and a quick attack, while Oregon myrtlewood contributes clarity, harmonic richness, and balanced projection. The result is an expressive small-body acoustic-electric particularly well suited to fingerstyle, songwriting, recording, and players who prefer a more intimate playing experience.

Its 12-fret neck joint, 25-inch scale, and 1.75-inch nut width contribute to the relaxed feel, while the Eastern hard rock maple neck with Breedlove’s Slim C profile provides comfortable playability across the fingerboard.

The CMYe combines a solid Western red cedar top with Oregon myrtlewood back and sides.

Western red cedar is valued for its quick response, warmth, and sensitivity to a lighter touch, making it an excellent choice for fingerstyle and expressive dynamic playing.

Oregon myrtlewood adds definition, harmonic complexity, and visual character, creating a tonewood combination that balances warmth with clarity and detail.

Compact 12-Fret Parlor Body

The Roots Parlor CMYe uses a compact Parlor body with the neck joining the body at the 12th fret.

This configuration creates an intimate playing position and a responsive feel while maintaining surprising tonal depth for a smaller-bodied instrument.

Its 25-inch scale offers slightly lower string tension than Breedlove’s full-scale Concert models, making fretting and expressive techniques feel particularly comfortable.

Slim C Neck & Comfortable Playability

The Eastern hard rock maple neck features Breedlove’s Slim C profile.

Combined with the 25-inch scale and 1.75-inch nut width, the CMYe provides comfortable string spacing and an easy playing response without sacrificing the room fingerstyle players often prefer.

An African ebony fingerboard and Delta pinless ebony bridge complete the premium playing surface and appointments.

Sound Optimized X Bracing

The Roots Parlor CMYe features Breedlove’s Sound Optimized X bracing and individual voicing as part of its Bend, Oregon construction.
