Cort Action Bass Plus 4-String Active Bass Guitar – Trans Red

Cort Action Bass Plus 4-String Active Bass Guitar – Trans Red

The Cort Action Bass Plus takes the proven Action Series platform and adds an onboard 2-band active EQ, giving you direct control over your bass and treble response at the instrument. Whether you need a tighter, more focused low end for a dense mix or a brighter top end for a slap-friendly tone, the active preamp lets you shape your sound without touching an amp or a pedal. It's a practical upgrade that opens up a wider range of playing styles and sonic territory.

Pickup Configuration and Active EQ

The Cort Powersound PJ-style pickup set provides the core tone — a split-coil Precision-style pickup for warmth and punch, paired with a single-coil Jazz-style pickup for added clarity and definition. The 2-band active EQ (bass and treble) lets you fine-tune the blend to suit the room, the mix, or the style. Controls include a master volume, pickup balance, and independent bass and treble knobs.

Neck and Fingerboard

A Hard Maple neck delivers stiffness and sustain, while the Jatoba fingerboard offers a comfortable playing surface with a 15.75-inch (R400) radius. Twenty-four frets provide full access to the upper register, and white dot inlays keep the board easy to read.

Body and Hardware

The Poplar body is lightweight and well-balanced. The Cort EB6 4-string bridge anchors the strings solidly, and die-cast tuning machines maintain reliable tuning stability. All hardware is finished in chrome. The Trans Red finish adds a touch of color while allowing the wood grain to show through.
