Gold Tone

The Gold Tone OM-800+ is a serious octave mandolin built for players who want the familiar GDAE tuning of a standard mandolin — but one full octave lower, with the voice and projection of a larger acoustic instrument. With a 22½" scale length, arched solid spruce top, and mahogany back and sides, the OM-800+ delivers warm, full-bodied tone that sits beautifully in folk, Celtic, bluegrass, and Folkternative settings. Every Gold Tone instrument is set up at their workshop in Titusville, Florida before it ships.

The OM-800+ is equipped with a passive under-saddle pickup routed through a comfortable radiused rosewood fingerboard, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio. Gold-plated hardware, cream ABS binding, and a natural high-gloss finish give it a refined, professional look. The ZeroGlide nut and sealed guitar-style tuners keep intonation stable and tuning reliable across extended playing sessions.
