The Guild Polara Deluxe in Kingswood Green elevates the Polara platform with refined aesthetics and expanded tonal versatility. Built with a solid mahogany body and set-neck construction, bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, and HB-2+ humbuckers with individual push-pull coil splits, this double-cutaway delivers eight distinct tonal combinations spanning humbucker punch to single-coil clarity. The gloss Kingswood Green metallic finish, Chesterfield headstock inlay, and Guild Peak logo create a striking visual presence, while nickel hardware and Guild Vintage 18 tuners (18:1 ratio) ensure reliable performance and precise tuning stability.
The Polara Deluxe is designed for players who demand tonal versatility without sacrificing vintage character. The solid mahogany body provides warm, resonant low end with excellent sustain, while the set-neck construction enhances harmonic complexity and upper fret access. The bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays elevates both feel and aesthetics, and the 24 ¾" scale length with Vintage Soft U neck profile offers comfortable playability for extended sessions. This is a guitar built for players who appreciate premium appointments, expanded sonic range, and the refined craftsmanship that defines Guild's heritage.
The Guild HB-2+ humbuckers feature Alnico V magnets for higher output and aggressive midrange punch, delivering thick, saturated overdrive tones with excellent clarity. The individual push-pull coil splits on both volume knobs unlock eight distinct tonal combinations: full humbuckers for thick rock and blues tones, split neck pickup for glassy clean sounds, split bridge pickup for cutting single-coil leads, or both pickups split for classic Strat-style chime. Whether you're playing rock, indie, classic tones, or heavier genres, the Polara Deluxe provides the sonic flexibility to cover it all.
The bound Indian rosewood fingerboard elevates both feel and visual appeal, providing smooth playability with a premium touch. Pearloid block inlays combined with the Chesterfield headstock inlay and Guild Peak logo create classic Guild identity that honors decades of heritage. The dual coil splits expand your tonal palette from humbucker warmth to single-coil clarity, making this guitar equally capable for rock, indie, classic, and heavier genres. The gloss Kingswood Green metallic finish and nickel hardware complete the premium aesthetic, creating a guitar that looks as refined as it sounds.
The 24 ¾" scale length provides comfortable playability with slightly reduced string tension, making bending easier and fretting more comfortable. The Vintage Soft U neck profile offers substantial feel without being overly chunky, providing excellent support for chord work and lead playing alike. The bound Indian rosewood fingerboard delivers smooth, fast playability with excellent sustain and rich tonal warmth. The double-cutaway design provides unrestricted access to all 22 frets, making this guitar equally capable for rhythm and lead work across any genre.
The Guild Tune-o-matic bridge with compensated stopbar tailpiece ensures precise intonation and maximum string transfer for excellent sustain and tonal clarity. Guild Vintage 18 tuners with 18:1 gear ratio provide smooth, precise tuning with excellent stability—critical for maintaining pitch accuracy during aggressive playing and coil-split tonal changes. The set-neck construction enhances sustain and harmonic complexity, while the solid mahogany body and gloss finish create a guitar that's built to last and improve with age.
The Guild Polara Deluxe is ideal for versatile players who need humbucker and single-coil tones in one guitar, rock and indie musicians seeking premium appointments with expanded sonic range, session players requiring tonal flexibility across genres, blues and classic rock guitarists who appreciate vintage aesthetics with modern features, and any player drawn to refined craftsmanship and striking visual presence.
ECG Music is an authorized Guild dealer and a small, owner-operated shop. Before a guitar ships, Frank goes over it by hand: tuning and intonation checked with a Peterson strobe tuner, every fret checked for dead notes, and a close inspection of the finish, hardware, and playability. If something isn't right, it doesn't go out the door.
