The Alvar is Hagstrom's semi-hollow double-cutaway — a five-ply Canadian maple body with an f-hole, built for players who want air and resonance without giving up the tightness of a set neck. It sits in that useful middle ground between a solid-body and a full hollowbody: enough acoustic bloom to feel alive unplugged, enough focus to hold together with real gain.

Two HJ-50 AlNiCo 5 humbuckers give it a warm, woody midrange that suits blues, jazz, indie and classic rock equally well. The maple set neck carries Hagstrom's patented H-Expander truss rod and a Resinator fingerboard, so despite the vintage-flavored body you get the fast, low-action feel Hagstrom necks are known for.

Includes the Hagstrom C-54 hardshell case — real protection, included at no extra cost.
