Hagstrom HJ500 Hollowbody Electric Guitar – Black Gloss – Hardshell Case Included

The HJ500 is Hagstrom's full hollowbody archtop — the jazz box in the line, and a direct descendant of the Jimmy models that Hagstrom built in the 1960s. A pressed, contoured Canadian maple ply body with f-holes gives it genuine acoustic volume and the woody, blooming attack a solid-body simply can't produce.

Two HJ50 humbuckers keep it warm and round for comping and single-note lines, and the Jimmy Resinator bridge over a Hagstrom trapeze tailpiece is the classic archtop arrangement — strings anchored at the tail, bridge floating on the top so the whole body moves. The maple set neck uses a long tenon joint, with the H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fingerboard giving it far lower action than a vintage archtop would allow.

Good for jazz, rockabilly, blues and anyone who wants an instrument with air in it.
