Two Lundgren Design AlNiCo 2 humbuckers keep the voicing on the vintage-leaning side of hot — thick and vocal rather than brittle. The long-throw tune-o-matic sits over Hagstrom's Sustain Block Tailpiece, where each string terminates in its own brass block coupled straight to the body; the blocks are separated from one another so strings don't interfere, which is where a lot of the Swede's sustain and note separation comes from. Underneath it all, the patented H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fingerboard deliver the fast, low-action neck Hagstrom is known for.
