A semi-hollow baritone is a genuinely rare thing, and the Viking Deluxe Baritone is Hagstrom doing what Hagstrom does — building the instrument nobody else bothered to make. Tuned lower than a standard guitar, it lands in territory that's too low for a six-string and too melodic for a bass: baritone leads, doom and stoner riffing, cinematic twang, and rich low chord voicings that keep their definition because of the semi-hollow body.

The pickup pairing is unusual and deliberate: a C58C humbucker alongside a P-Urified P90-size single coil, which gives you both fat humbucking thickness and the raw bark of a P90 in an instrument this low. Maple body and maple top with f-hole, maple set neck with a long tenon joint, long-throw tune-o-matic and stop tail. H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fingerboard as always.
