Kala's Contour Series rethinks the tenor ukulele from the player's side. This one pairs a solid spruce top with solid rosewood back and sides, the classic steel-string guitar recipe scaled to a uke: spruce gives it a fast, clean attack and plenty of headroom, rosewood underneath adds depth, sustain and a balanced low end. All solid wood means it keeps opening up the longer you play it.

The Contour details are what set it apart. A contoured comfort edge is carved into the lower bout where your forearm rests, so there's no hard corner digging in during long sessions. The venetian cutaway clears the way to the 19th fret. A reimagined slotted headstock gives it a classical-guitar look and a steeper string break over the bone nut, and the two-tone eclipse rosette in mahogany and purpleheart matches the purpleheart binding around the body.

Mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, gloss finish, and Aquila Super Nylgut strings. This is the acoustic version with no electronics, so the top is free to do its job. Kala's Contour Series Deluxe Gig Bag is included.
