The Kala KA-SA-B is an all-solid acacia baritone ukulele built for players who want genuine tonal depth and natural resonance in a full-size baritone format. Every component of the instrument — top, back and sides — is crafted from solid acacia, a tonewood closely related to Hawaiian koa. Acacia produces a warm, clear voice with focused midrange character, and its naturally varied grain gives each instrument a distinctive appearance that develops further with age and playing.
The baritone body is the largest of the standard ukulele sizes, delivering greater volume, sustain and low-end presence than soprano, concert or tenor instruments. Its 20.0625-inch scale length provides a spacious, comfortable playing feel with generous fret spacing — well suited to players transitioning from guitar or those who simply prefer a more open hand position. The satin finish keeps the tone open and responsive while giving the instrument a refined, understated look. Maple binding frames the body cleanly, and the slotted headstock adds a classic aesthetic touch.
