Warm Cedar Voice. Manouche Soul.
The Lâg Swing SL100 Petite Bouche Gypsy Jazz Guitar offers an inviting entry into the sound and feel of the French Manouche tradition. Inspired by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club de France, the SL100 combines traditional Gypsy Jazz construction with a warm, responsive tone and dependable modern playability.
Available now from ECGMusic.com, an authorized Lâg Guitars dealer. A fitted semi-rigid gig bag is included.
Warm, Responsive Cedar Tone
A solid red cedar top gives the SL100 a warm, open voice with pronounced midrange and a quick, expressive response. Mahogany back and sides add balance and focus, making the guitar equally comfortable handling driving la pompe rhythm, melodic accompaniment and articulate lead playing.
The natural satin finish gives the instrument a clean, understated appearance while allowing the character of the cedar and mahogany to remain front and center.
Authentic Petite Bouche Design
The traditional petite bouche oval soundhole helps produce the focused projection and clear articulation associated with Gypsy Jazz guitars. A movable rosewood bridge and metal tailpiece encourage the immediate attack and efficient vibration transfer that give the style its distinctive rhythmic snap.
The SL100 also features a zero fret, openwork slotted headstock and long 670 mm scale. Together, these traditional design elements contribute to its firm string feel, strong projection and recognizable Manouche character.
Comfortable, Adjustable and Ready to Play
The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable playing surface for rapid chord changes and fluid single-note runs. A 45 mm bone nut offers room for clean fretting, while the cutaway provides easier access to the upper register without losing the classic Selmer-inspired silhouette.
A dual-action truss rod allows reliable neck adjustment, and precise die-cast tuners support dependable tuning. Lâg equips the SL100 with Savarez Argentine 1510MF strings in an 11–46 gauge—the classic choice for the bright attack and fast response of Gypsy Jazz.
