French Design, Manouche Soul — The LAG SL200 Petite Bouche

The LAG SL200 Petite Bouche Gypsy Jazz Guitar is a modern interpretation of the classic French Manouche guitar tradition — built for players who want authentic Gypsy Jazz tone, fast response, and expressive lead capability in a refined, well-crafted instrument. Designed in France and rooted in the legacy of Django Reinhardt, the SL200 brings the Petite Bouche oval-hole voice to a contemporary build with quality tonewoods, traditional construction details, and the projection that the style demands.

The solid spruce top delivers the bright, focused attack and articulate note separation that define the Petite Bouche sound. Rosewood back and sides add warmth and sustain without sacrificing the punchy, percussive snap that drives Gypsy Jazz rhythm. The mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard provides a fast, comfortable playing surface across the 670mm scale length — ideal for the rapid chord work and fleet single-note runs central to the idiom. A zero fret ensures consistent open-string intonation, and the traditional metal tailpiece anchors the strings in authentic Manouche fashion.

The SL200 features an openwork slotted headstock, bone nut, double-action truss rod, and die-cast tuners — details that reflect LAG's commitment to build quality at every price point.
