Iconic 1970s Design. Reborn for Today.

Vintage Raven guitars from the late 1970s are prized by collectors, and the Washburn Raven '78 brings that iconic double-cutaway design to a new generation of players. Built from lightweight swamp ash, the Raven R5CB-U delivers a bold, articulate voice with excellent resonance and playing comfort.

Equipped with dual high-output humbuckers voiced for classic '70s tone, the Raven delivers punch, clarity, and power. A push-pull coil split expands your tonal range, unlocking bright, snappy single-coil tones when needed — making this a versatile instrument for both stage and studio.

Precision Tuning with Buzz Feiten System

The Washburn Wing Series Raven features the Buzz Feiten Tuning System (BFTS) — a precision-engineered compensated nut and setup designed to improve intonation across the entire fretboard.

Unlike standard tuning systems, BFTS helps chords play more in tune, improves accuracy in lower positions, and delivers more balanced pitch across all frets. It’s a subtle but meaningful upgrade that players notice immediately.

Combined with Grover tuners, the Raven offers excellent tuning stability and dependable performance for both stage and studio use.
