The Suzuki Easy Rider EZR-20 is the harmonica to hand a beginner who might actually stick with it. It's a full 10-hole, 20-reed diatonic in the key of G with laser-tuned brass reeds, which means the notes are in tune out of the box and the draw bends that make blues sound like blues are there when the player finds them.

A plastic comb keeps it light and moisture-stable, and the nickel-plated brass covers feel like a real harp, not a toy. It comes in its own compact case.

Why G? A G harp is the cross-harp choice for songs in D and the straight-harp choice for songs in G, which covers a lot of country, folk and campfire material. Most players start with a C and pick up a G second.
