Teton STG110NT Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar – Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Natural Gloss

A comfortable, great-sounding solid-top guitar from a small company in Idaho.

Teton Guitars is based in Idaho Falls, and the STG110NT is one of the guitars that made us a fan. It has a solid Sitka spruce top, so it sounds bright, open and lively, and it gets better the more it's played. The ovangkol back and sides add some warmth and keep the low end from getting boomy.

The grand concert body is the real selling point. It's smaller and easier to get your arm around than a dreadnought, but it still has plenty of volume. Notes come through clear and separated, which makes it a great fingerstyle guitar, and it handles light-to-medium strumming just fine. It's a good fit for smaller players, couch playing, and anyone who finds a dreadnought too bulky.

Why we like it

• Solid Sitka spruce top for a bright, responsive sound
• Grand concert body that's comfortable and well balanced
• Ovangkol back and sides for warmth and clarity
• Standard 25.5" scale and 43 mm nut, a familiar feel
• Mahogany neck with a smooth satin finish
• Mahogany binding and natural gloss finish, clean vintage look
