Why Buy From ECG Music?
The 1958 Gibson® Les Paul® Custom "Black Beauty" is one of the most iconic electric guitars ever produced. Finished in a deep gloss ebony nitrocellulose lacquer, it features elegant multi-ply binding, a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, a split-diamond headstock inlay and luxurious gold-plated hardware throughout.
By 1958, most Les Paul® Customs were equipped with three Patent Applied For (PAF) humbuckers, delivering a rich, articulate tone with exceptional sustain and clarity. Combined with its ebony fingerboard and all-mahogany construction, the result is a warm yet powerful sound equally suited for blues, jazz, and rock. Revered by collectors and players alike, the 1958 "Black Beauty" remains one of the most sought-after vintage Gibson® guitars ever made.
Reverse engineered from a genuine 1958 Gibson® Les Paul® Custom "Black Beauty," the Norlin® historic input jack plate faithfully recreates the dimensions, contours and vintage-correct details of the original part. The Norlin® True Historic Series represents hardware exactly as it would have appeared on a new Gibson® guitar hanging on a music store wall in the 1950s and 1960s. Designed for restorations, conversions and period-correct builds, it captures the subtle characteristics found on one of Gibson®'s most iconic instruments.
Individual Norlin® true historic input jack plate for 1958 Gibson® Les Paul® Custom "Black Beauty" guitars. Does not include mounting hardware.
