This isn't just a guitar. It's automotive art you can play. Wild Custom Guitars of France has created the ultimate fusion of American muscle car heritage and boutique guitar craftsmanship with their legendary Automotive Series—and this 1966 Ford Mustang GT350H tribute is the crown jewel.
If you're a Shelby collector, a vintage Mustang enthusiast, or a guitarist who demands something no one else will ever own, this is your unicorn.
Built Like a GT350H, Plays Like a Dream
Every detail of this instrument pays homage to the iconic Hertz Rent-A-Racer GT350H—the legendary black-and-gold Shelby Mustangs that defined 1960s performance. From the authentic racing stripes to the period-correct badging, Wild Custom's master luthiers in France spent hundreds of hours hand-crafting this piece to museum-grade standards.
Premium tonewoods and hardware: This isn't a novelty guitar—it's a professional-grade instrument built to the same exacting standards as Wild Custom's entire boutique lineup. Solid body construction, premium pickups, flawless fretwork, and hardware that delivers both vintage aesthetics and modern playability.
NAMM Show pedigree: This exact guitar was displayed at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants), the world's premier music products trade show, where it stopped attendees in their tracks. It's been meticulously maintained and is ready for its next home—whether that's a private collection, a recording studio, or center stage.
Who This Guitar Is For
Shelby & Mustang collectors: Add a playable piece of GT350H history to your collection. Display it alongside your vintage memorabilia, posters, or even your actual Shelby. This is the conversation piece that bridges your passion for cars and music.
Boutique guitar collectors: Wild Custom Guitars' Automotive Series is internationally recognized for pushing the boundaries of luthier artistry. Owning one is a statement—you don't follow trends, you set them.
Professional players: If you're tired of seeing the same Strats and Les Pauls on every stage, this is how you stand out. It plays as good as it looks, and it looks like nothing else in the world.

About the Car: The 1966 Shelby GT350H
In 1966 Shelby American built roughly 1,000 GT350 Mustangs for the Hertz "Rent-A-Racer" program. Most wore Raven Black with gold Le Mans stripes and rocker stripes, and the cars became legends for the weekend racers who rented them on Friday and returned them on Monday. Wild Customs' guitar carries that same black-and-gold livery, the badging, and the ignition-key switch as a working control.
