Wild Customs Baroness – Nimble Green Burst Flametop (SH-1/SH-4) – Made in France

The Wild Customs Baroness is boutique French lutherie at its finest — hand-built in France with a set-neck mahogany body and a flamed maple top for huge sustain, rich mids, and a fast, comfortable feel. This one features a stunning transparent Nimble Green Burst flametop that shifts from deep emerald to darker burst edges, showing the flame beautifully under light.

This guitar was a Wild Customs NAMM showpiece, and it has been case-kept ever since. We became official Wild Customs dealers after meeting with the team at NAMM, and we’re proud to represent the brand. The instrument is brand new / mint with no wear, dings, or issues.

Tonally, it’s classic Baroness: clear, articulate neck tones from the Seymour Duncan SH-1, and a muscular, punchy bridge voice from the Seymour Duncan SH-4. The Standard Thin C neck profile plays effortlessly, and premium hardware — Tune-o-Matic bridge and Schertler open-gear tuners — keeps everything stable and stage-ready.

Includes the original hardcase, factory checklist, and Certificate of Authenticity.

Wild Customs' own catalog listing for the Baroness confirms the build: a set-neck mahogany body with a flamed maple top, mahogany neck, and Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The neck pickup is the Seymour Duncan SH-1 '59 Model and the bridge pickup is the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB Model, the classic pairing found on countless studio and touring guitars. The 24.75" scale gives the Baroness its slinky, singing feel.

Collector's Notes

  • NAMM showpiece: This exact guitar was displayed by Wild Customs at the NAMM show, then case-kept until it reached our showroom.
  • Documented build: Serial 22C03034, fabrication date March 15, 2022, matched to the Wild Customs Certificate of Authenticity.
  • One-off finish: The transparent Nimble Green Burst flametop is a hand-applied finish; no two Wild Customs flame tops share the same figure.
